Before I get to the book news, I want to share some photos from my walk on Thursday. Over the past few months, I’ve had some health issues and an injury that has interfered with my daily walks. For as long as I can remember, I’ve needed to go on a walk, to clear my head and get fresh air, while listening to an audiobook. I even did this when I had to lug a Discman to listen to library audiobooks because I couldn’t afford to buy them.
Today, with Audible, it’s much easier and with a wider variety, including lesfic titles.
Back to Thursday, it started raining around noon. I tend to go for my walks at the end of my work day. If I go earlier, by the time I get home, my brain has switched off and I don’t get anymore work done. So, I kept a close eye on the weather outside. I’ve been on a good run, going for a walk every day for the past couple of weeks, and I’ve noticed a huge change in my energy, stress levels, and overall happiness. When I wasn’t able to go for walks, it felt like a dark cloud of depression had clamped down over me more and more each day.
Around 5:30 there seemed to be a break in the rain, so I dashed out for my walk and headed to Kensington Gardens. Halfway through my loop, the clouds started to part and although the sky was still blue, due to the recent time change, I spied the moon through the wispy strands of clouds. It was a beautiful sight. The pictures below don’t do it justice, but this is the type of thing I’d been missing while locked inside my flat, battling health problems. It’s the little things that make me happy and glad to be alive.
By the time I returned to the flat, the rain had started again, setting the mood to curl up on the couch with a library book I’m reading as research for the next book in The Miracle Girl series.
Now for the book news. Soon, I’m going to upload The Fall Girl to Amazon. It’s the sequel to The Miracle Girl. For the first few days, the price will be 99 cents. And The Miracle Girl will also be on sale briefly during that week. If you aren’t signed up for my newsletter, this might be a good time to do so to find out all the details about both sales. Hearing about sales isn’t the only bonus to subscribing. You’ll also receive a FREE copy of A Woman Lost and bonus chapters that aren’t available for purchase. You can sign up for the newsletter here.
Here’s the blurb for The Fall Girl.
JJ Cavendish thought she’d escaped her dark past. After publishing her tell-all memoir, she’s ready to settle down with Claire and devote her attention to running a scrappy online news venture. But when her new business partner exploits JJ’s notoriety to keep the company afloat, avoiding the limelight becomes impossible.
As JJ keeps hungry movie producers at bay, she fields an intriguing offer from an old enemy that could help her expose a cyber bully, stop a string of suicides, and get her company the scoop it needs. To bring the story to light, JJ and her team must brave the darkest corners of the web and hope her own name doesn’t make the headlines in the process.
The Fall Girl is the second installment in The Miracle Girl, a captivating series of lesbian romantic suspense novels.
Before I go, here’s another photo I snapped on one of my walks this past week. It’s the Easter… squirrel.
If you celebrate, have a wonderful Easter. If you don’t, I wish you a relaxing and happy weekend.
